Ligue 1 club Racing Club de Strasbourg have signed Real Madrid forward Jacobo Ortega for around €10m.
Ortega, a striker of the Real Madrid B team, has signed a five-year contract with the Alsatian club.
The Galacticos announced on Monday that the Spanish striker, who won the Youth League this spring, will be at training for the Ligue 1 side on Tuesday.
This deal is like the deal of Nico Paz between Como and Real Madrid because Real Madrid has a buy-back clause.
“Real Madrid C. F. and RC Strasbourg Alsace agree on the transfer of Jacobo Ortega”, according to the Real Madrid website.
Ortega joined the Galacticos in 2018 at the age of 12 and has been in our youth academy for eight seasons.
“Real Madrid will always be his home. Thank you, Jacobo Ortega, for all the years you have been part of our club.
*Real Madrid wishes him and his family the best on this new phase of his life.”
In a related story, Strasbourg have agreed a deal to sign Jeyland Mitchell from Sturm Graz.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed this on his page as the Ligue 1 club continue to rebuild this summer.
Strasbourg, whose manager also left at the end of the season, also sold many of the players who were at the heart of their success in the past two seasons.
Club captain Emanuel Emegha and Valentin Barco have also departed, with Julio Enciso set to follow. The club could also sell Diego Moreira on a permanent deal before the end of the transfer window.
The club, therefore, are on a recruitment drive and have therefore signed the Costa Rican defender.
He signed for Le Racing for €8m and is on his way to Alsace for a medical.
