Following the nationwide lockdown, in India, and across Asian countries, the Asian Hockey Federation has decided to make the best use of the lockdown after they conducted the first set of online educational workshops under the development through distance [AHF Educational Workshops].
This is done to encourage young and prospective technical Officials, Umpires, and Umpire managers.
With the primary aim of grooming technical expertise and broad knowledge of various areas of officiating and managing international matches and tournaments, the online educational workshops will be organized free without any fee charged for candidates partaking online through Microsoft team application.
Each of these workshops will take about three to four hours session, which will include a break the workshop will promote and focus on the use of new and existing technologies which consists of the discipline of required necessary qualities w8th the allocation and clarity of roles and responsibilities, which further states the pre-tournament and pre-match prices and guidelines to be followed to communicate work hand in hand with teams.
The first workshop, which was held on the 12th and 13th of June, saw six participants from India as they focus on the use of FIH TMS and familiarize themselves more for practical and efficient use of what they’ve learned on matchdays. Plans to hold more workshops will kick off by Jully 2020.
