Indian Superstar boxer Mary Kom has remained self-isolated herself at her home in Delhi, India, since she made a return back from the Asian Olympics qualifiers in Jordan, where she secured a
spot ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.
Despite the fact that the COVID-19 Pandemic disease has forced her to isolate herself indoors, Mary Kom seems to have found a new meaning to her isolation as she revealed that it has given her a new meaning as regards her “freedom.”
It was necessary for the Pugilist to take a precautionary measure by making a necessitated training trip to Italy before she touched down in Jordan. This was after the IOC, certified the whole Indian team negative to the COVID-19 virus.
Maru Kom revealed in an exclusive interview that she is back home with her children relaxing and undergoing her exercises and also keeping fit after away from home for almost a month.
“I am happy to be back home. Though I am in isolation, the best part of it being with my family all day without having to wrap my head thinking of other things, I’m appealing to everyone to stay indoors with their family and shouldn’t entertain any form of fear”. She added.
The iconic boxer must have been feeling relaxed back at home, but she has not failed to allay her fears about the virus outbreak, which has seen the death of over 9,000 people around the world.
India has recorded four deaths so far as the number of those tested positive rose to 190. It’s scary out there, but it is vital people follow the health guidelines to stay safe. Mary Kom added.
