As the UPB Fight Club Season 3, Edition 4 approaches, fans, pundits, and enthusiasts eagerly await the clash of titans, the moments of brilliance, and the unpredictable twists that will unfold in the squared circle. In this pre-fight article, we delve into the matchups, storylines, and the potential for glory as we preview the forthcoming boxing extravaganza.
The Main Fight of the evening is in the Featherweight category for 8 Rounds, between Jitender Singh, who had debuted about a year and half ago, takes on the youthful and undefeated Keisham Luckysun Singh. Lucky would certainly want to continue his winning streak and take the jump into the Big League. The only thing which can be said about Lucky is that in Season 1, he was all about KOs which changed to UD wins in Season 2 and the start of Season 3. Everyone is waiting to see if he goes back to the KO way more so as it is an 8 Round Bout and stamina would play a key role for both Boxers.
The Co-Main Fight, in the Super Flyweight division for 6 Rounds, between Adil and Shanborlang is anything but one-sided for Adil, as Shanborlang has shown in his limited appearances that he’s not someone to be taken lightly. Adil has been on a winning streak since last 1 year, entering the Bout with precision and technique on his side, while Shanborlang brings agility and youthfulness. It’s a battle of styles as these fighters aim to outwit and outmaneuver each other.
The Super Featherweight 6 Round clash between Varun and Wahedulla is poised to be a classic. Varun is reeling from the loss he had in Nepal at the hands of Umesh and is desperate to get back to winning ways. Varun would want to learn from that defeat and not allow Wahedulla to cause an upset thereby opening his win account.
One of the most interesting Bouts of the evening is between Pawan Kumar and Priyaranjan Nayak in the Lightweight division, as this a battle between seeking redemption and building a record. Pawan just needs a win to assert his quality as a competitive Boxer and his losses do not do justice to his abilities. Priyaranjan debuted with a Win in the last UPB event and would be keen to not add any blemish on his early record. The thing that goes in Pawan’s favour is that this is a 4 Round Bout and his 2 Draws and 1 Win have all been in 4 Rounders.
In another 4 Round clash in the Featherweight category, regional pride is on the line as Harsh Yadav and Vishal Kumar go head-to-head. Both fighters hail from regions known for producing boxing talent, making this bout a classic showdown of hometown heroes. Both would be keen to open their Win account and hopefully an exciting clash will give a winner.
Kicking off the event in the Flyweight division is a battle that epitomizes the classic contrast between experience and the hunger of a debutant. Nikhil Raj, a seasoned fighter, steps into the ring against the untested Pankaj Paswan, making his debut. Can experience quell the youthful exuberance of Pankaj? Pankaj has a point to prove as he’s overcoming personal tragedies and a win would go a long way whereas Nikhil has succeeded against debutants. It’ll be anything but walk-in-the-park for Nikhil as Pankaj is a four-time State Gold medallist.
The second Bout featuring a debutant is the 3rd one of the evening between Harsh Kaushik and Vishal Kumar. Harsh is State Gold medal winner and won medals in Zonal and National competitions. His is a highly anticipated debut and it is a tough match-up for Vishal who is already suffering from loss in his Record. All-in-all a must cantest, this one for audiences.
As the countdown to fight night begins, fans can’t help but be captivated by the diverse array of talent, stories, and aspirations that these fighters bring to the ring. Each matchup offers a unique blend of skills, experiences, and ambitions, promising a night of thrilling punches, skillful footwork, and fierce determination.
