Spain’s Tennis star Rafael Nadal took to his social media platforms to inform his fans that he is recovering after receiving treatment for his foot injury. Nadal revealed that he will need rest and will have to stay away from the court for a few months before he can pick up the racquet again.
Nadal had pulled out of the Wimbledon and Tokyo Olympics due to his injury woes and then made a return to Washington Open but lost in the third round against South Africa’s Lloyd Harris. The lefty then decided to pull out of the US Open because of injury woes.
Subsequently, Nadal ended his 2021 season as he revealed that he will need to go through treatment on his foot injury which has been troubling him for a long time. Nadal received his medical treatment in Barcelona and he is back to his home. He also gave gratitude to his fans for all the support.
Nadal wrote on his Instagram post, “Hi everyone, I haven’t communicated with you through social media for a while,” Nadal said. “I was in Barcelona with my team and medical team to receive a treatment on my foot that will keep me a few days of rest and a few weeks off the court. I’m back home now and in the process of recovery. Thanks to everyone for the support.”
Nadal had lost the semifinal of the French Open 2021 against Novak Djokovic, which was an epic encounter between the two best players of all time.
The Spaniard will now look to make a solid comeback to the next season after completely recuperating from his foot injury.
