FSDL announces schedule for second half of Hero ISL 2021-22 season

 

Football Sports Development Limited has announced the schedule for the second half of the ongoing eight season of the Hero Indian Super League 2021-22 on Tuesday. The final 11 rounds of the edition will begin from 10 January and will be played for a period of 55 days.

It has been an exciting season of the Hero ISL so far as there have been high-scoring matches which has kept the fans at the edge of their seats. Currently Mumbai Indians are at the numero uno position in the points table with five wins and two losses from seven matches.

However, clubs like Jamshedpur FC, Hyderabad FC, Chennayin FC and ATK Mohun Bagan are pushing their way up and they are expected to give a tough challenge to the defending champions for the top spot.

Thus, there is a stiff competition and it is expected to be an exciting race between these fine teams to finish among the top four teams in the standings and qualify for the semifinal stages.

Meanwhile, the second match of the much-awaited Kolkata derby between – ATK Mohun Bagan and SC East Bengal – will be played at the PJN Stadium on January 29. ATK Mohun Bagan had beaten SC East Bengal comprehensively by 3-0 in the first meeting of the season.

FC Goa and Kerala Blasters will take on each other in the last league stage match of the season, which will be played at the Athletic Stadium, Bambolim on 5th of March.
