Brazil talisman forward Neymar has made a shocking announcement that the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2022 could be his last in the national colors. Neymar is only 29 years old and one feels he is still got a lot of fuel left in his tank.
The striker said that he wants to win the World Cup with his national team and he may not have the mental strength to handle the pressure at the top level. Neymar is one of the best players in the world and he will look to bring his best to the table in the quadrennial event.
In DAZN’s documentary titled Neymar & The Line of Kings, “I think it’s my last World Cup. I see it as my last because I don’t if I have the strength of mind to deal with football anymore. I’ll do everything to turn up well and win it with my country to realize my greatest dream since I was little, I hope I can do it.”
Meanwhile, Neymar has been in good form while playing for PSG Saint-Germain and has played a key role in helping the club take the numero uno position in the Ligue 1 standings. The Brazilian attacker has also benefitted from the arrival of Lionel Messi, with whom he shares a good understanding after playing for Barcelona.
On the other hand, PSG Saint-Germain has one of the best trios of strikers as they have Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar. PSG will look to go all the way with such a potent attack and it will be interesting to note if they can continue their domination in the league.
PSG is at the top of the points table in Ligue 1 as they have won eight out of the nine matches they have played and have 24 points under their bag. PSG recently also defeated Manchester City by 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League.
Meanwhile, Brazil last won the FIFA World Cup back in 2002 and Neymar will aim to end the country’s 20-year old wait in the upcoming mega event.
