The seventh season of the Indian Super League saw some amazing performances from the top players as well as the teams of the league. Mumbai City was crowned as champions for the first time as they defeated ATK Mohun Bagan by 2-1 at the Fatorda Stadium, Goa on Saturday in the final of the tourney.
We take a look at the top three goal-scorers of the season.
Note – According to the ISL rules, when two players score the same number of goals, the one who averages fewer minutes to score a goal, wins the Golden Boot award.
Angulo averaged a goal per 117.5 minutes while Roy Krishna needed 147.3 minutes for the same.
However, the 29-year old efforts went in vain as Odisha finished as the wooden-spooners of the tournament. Odisha could only win two matches and they were heavily dependent on Mauricio’s shoulders.
